Why Rotary?

Strategic Goals

           

Club Service - Dave Ballantyne

§ Increase membership by five members by June 30, 2006.
§ Organize Classification Talks for both new and existing members to better know each other.
§ Organize a "Rotary Minute" program for use during meetings.
§ Provide public relations releases for local media.
§ Develop a speakers bureau. 
§ Host at least one new member solicitation event.
§ Host at least one family social event for members.
§ Upgrade Rotary highway signs.

Community Service - Bob Bradford

§ Continue semi-annual "Adopt-a-Highway" program on Main Street in Elverson.
§ Continue to sponsor a team in the American Cancer Society Walk for Life.
§ Sponsor Fall Concert for local community.
§ Fund books and shelving at Honey Brook Library

Vocational Service - Charlie Frisina

§ Continue to award a $500 scholarship to a community involved student from Twin Valley High School.
§ Provide volunteer readers to support Reading is Fundamental at Twin Valley Elementary Center.
§ Restart a one-on-one Rotary reading buddy program.
§ Seek and support potential recipients of Rotary and Gundaker Foundations Scholarship awards
§ Pair Rotary members and high school students for job shadowing. 
§ Each quarter, invite one local student to address club.

International Service - Rick Berger

§ Provide funding to Rotaplast for surgery on two children.
§ Seek matching funds from Gundaker Foundation for two additional Rotaplast surgeries.
§ Continue to team with the Sunrise Club of Lima to complete potable water project in Indiana, Peru.

Rotary Foundation - Bob Pleis

§ Educate members about the Matching Grant Process. 
§ Solicit and interview potential Foundation Education Grant students.
§ Contribute an average of $100/member to the Rotary Foundation

Gundaker Foundation - Joe Swartz

§ Contribute to the Gundaker Foundation with 100% participation.
§ Solicit and interview potential Foundation Education Grant students.

Ways & Means - Byron Savage

§ Continue Tri County Art Show & Sale with a net goal of $5,000
§ Explore, propose, and implement additional fund raising activities with a focus on high return for hours of effort.

Membership - Dave Ballantyne & Bob Bradford

§ In addition to Club Service Goals, develop plan for membership retention.
§ Maintain an average attendance rate of 70%
